“Comments from Elizabeth and Marshall"

We have returned from our African adventure.  What a trip!  We had an amazing time and all the accommodations, flights, transfers and guides were outstanding and worked seamlessly.  We also had to adjust a bit to the supported travel culture whereby 3-4 people meet you at every stop and want to carry your bags, show you the way.  We are used to making our own way, but it was helpful on a first trip to such a foreign place.  We felt like royalty!

Thank you again for all your help in the planning and organizing of the trip.  We will certainly recommend you and your African Travel colleagues for any of our friends planning a trip to Africa.

Don't be surprised if we contact you in a few years to go on another trip to Africa!

Take care.

Beth,

I wanted to thank you for a trip beyond comparison. An African vacation was not a priority for me, to say the least, but as it was a passion for my wife, Julie, so we went. The experience was the adventure of a lifetime and I want to thank you for coordinating a trip where the smallest of details was provided. From the airport guides that walked us through immigration, customs, security and to our gate to the luxury “tent” camps to the personal driver/guides.

Altogether it was far more than I could have expected. I’m so glad I bought a camera with a 300mm telescopic lens as I took about 3,000 photos and so glad I did. The photos help refresh our experience.  The guides were terrific and there wasn’t an animal in the Amboseli, Masai Mara or Chobe that we didn’t see and capture on camera, including the Cheetah and leopard (with cubs), lion prides, Jackals, Hyena’s with pups, Rhinos, all the grazing Animals-Sables, Gazelles, Dickdicks, Zebras, Wildebeests, Hippos, Crocks, Oh My!

The animals are so amazing. The accommodations so luxurious.  Local personnel and staff, as well as the Masai villagers (sometimes one and the same), were so accommodating and attentive we really felt like royalty. The Masai Mara Sand River Tent Lodge was over the top with hardwood floors, Persian rugs, chandeliers, drapes, double sink vanity, oversized claw foot tub, outdoor shower, parlor, views of the Sand River from tent and deck. Billiard tent, Parlor tent, Dining Tent, outdoor breakfast and lunch (if not on the high plains).  It was all so wonderful. All the accommodations AND DRIVERS were tip-top.

Thanks again for putting together the adventure of a lifetime and I think it goes without saying well be calling on your services again in the not too distant future

Hi Beth,

I just wanted to thank you for the parting gifts from Africa.

We had a great trip.  It was definitely the trip of a lifetime. Wilderness treated us very well.  Lodging, food and people were all great.  Of course the highlight of the trip was the wildlife.  We saw everything from lions to dung beetles.  The Okavango Delta was flooding while we were there so the timing was perfect.  We watched the water change every day.  Our guide said we were the first guests taken from the airport to the camp by boat this season.

We thought we were going to have a problem when we were traveling on connecting flights from Joa to Maun To Kalahari.  The flight from Joa to Maun was delayed due to mechanical difficulties and we were going to miss our flight from Maun to Kalahari.  While we were delayed, Wilderness took us to Joa Camp to have drinks and give us a tour.  When we arrived in Maun, we were greeted and taken to a charter flight from Maun to Kalahari. They even arranged a tour of Johannesburg on our final day at our us at our request.

Thanks so much for arranging everything.
