Eden is made up of the main house and tonio’s studio. Both buildings are available for exclusive hire. main house: Once the private residence of Anna and her family, the main house offers an open plan drawing and dining room area, large veranda and 3 ensuite bedrooms. Tonio’s studio: Tonio’s former art studio offers a separate open plan drawing and dining room area, 2 ensuite bedrooms and 3 separate studio lofts.

2. Segera Retreat

Kenya, Laikipia Plateau

Segera Retreat is a 50,000 acre wildlife rich ecosystem on the Laikipia Plateau with spectacular views of Mount Kenya. Owned by conservationist Jochen Zeitz, this eco lodge promises sustainable luxury and embraces the 4Cs - conservation, community, culture and commerce. The timber and thatch villas are built on elevated wooden platforms, surrounded by a botanical garden. Uniquely decorated with artworks by African artists, each villa has its own private deck with lounge chairs for soaking up the African sun, and swinging beds that provide the perfect spot for a midday or evening escape. An outdoor hot tub offers a tranquil and private setting. Meals are made from freshest ingredients sourced from the lodge's fruit, vegetable and herb gardens and neighboring farms. Dining is a personalized and highly creative experience, eat by the pool, in your villa, in the Wine Tower, the Paddock House or in the renovated horse stables. A wellness center, gym, salt water pool and sculpture garden completes the holistic experience. Choose from cultural intepretive tours of the gardens and art galleries, community visits to the pastoral Samburu, Turkana and Boran tribes, bush walks, game drives or spend time with the game scouts and anti-poaching staff to learn more about the complexities of conservation.

3. Angama Mara

Kenya, Maasai Mara

The Swahili word ‘angama’, meaning ‘hanging or suspended in mid-air’, inspired the name Angama Mara. Perched on the edge of the Great Rift Valley the lodge overlooks the magnificent rolling plains of the Masai Mara. Each classical tented suite has a floor to-ceiling glass front with breathtaking views, a spacious wooden deck, personal bar, safe, en-suite bathroom, charging points, Wi-Fi, and a butler’s lobby allowing for the discreet delivery of early morning tea and coffee. The guest areas are essentially one room with glass doors, without a defined sitting room, dining room or bar and an extensive deck. The library has Wi-Fi, guest computers, and a collection of books and films on Africa. The lodge consists of two totally separate and intimate camps. The pavilion is the only communal area between the two camps. Here you will find the fitness room, an infinity pool with loungers and a safari shop with a studio leading from it, where the Maasai do beading.
